@kaaaanders: brioche recipe below ⬇️ 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast 1 tablespoon sugar 2 ¾ cups unbleached all-purpose flour 1/3 cup warm whole milk 2 large eggs, at room temperature ½ cup sugar ¼ teaspoon ground mace 1 teaspoon salt 2 large eggs, at room temperature 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into 10 pieces, very soft ½ cup flour, plus more as needed -mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar and bloom for 5 mins before adding 3/4c flour and 2 eggs. mix until smooth -sprinkle remaining 2c flour (do not mix!) and let sit for two hours, until yeast mixture bubbles over -add remaining 2 eggs, sugar, any desired spices (I used mace), and knead until smooth. continue kneading for several minutes, adding butter 1 tbsp at a time -let dough triple in size -divide into two sections and wrap tightly with plastic wrap, refrigerating overnight the next morning: -shape dough and let rest in baking vessel until doubled in size b -bake at 350F for 30-40 mins #brioche #breadrecipe #sweetbread #breakfastrecipes #briocherolls
