Either do a very short one to wake up before entering REM cycle or take a 90 minute nap so you complete it. If you try to get up in the middle of one that's when you feel groggy and dysfunctional.

Hated naps as a child, now I make up for missed naps. Gimme a cool, comfy couch with dips in just the right spots, a blanket heavy enough to register but not too heavy that makes me itchy & sweaty, and just the right level of background noise? I'm napping so hard. Bonus points if it's during the heat of the day or a raging thunderstorm.

Yes. Only nap 20-30minutes. If you go past that it makes you more tired.
