Literally she is the same weirdo as him. The only one who will understands his mentall unstability, because she have it too from her family abusive trauma. And the most important, she loves Peter and only him. She kinda hates that he is Spider-Man and at first when she finds out that he is him, that creep the shit out of her and was the reason why she run from him, cuz, she thought that Spidey is his real face and not the kind, nerdy and cute Peter, that she likes, but after the death of Gwen and their very close friendship she figured out that Spidey is the mask with which he deals with his trauma and guilt and Pete is the real one, just like her party girl unserious mask which hides her pain and the real her is a mature down to earth young woman. She is so afraid for his life. but she accept that he is Spider-Man, even she doesn't like it, because of her love for him and except any other women, she understands him on very deep level why he can't stop because, Spider-Man is his "party girl facade", that helps him with his trauma and guilt that turn him into Spidey. They both are broken and suffered poeple that complete, heal and suit each other. She grounds him and help him to not forget that he is a human being and not losing himself into Spider-Man. And she doesn't give an F about Spider-Man(For Raimi larpers, that judge the character because they don't read comics)With the Spider-Man stuff, she only is proud of the fact that her love is a good man who wants to save people, even if he did it only like Peter. The only woman in Marvel comics that is obsessed with Spider-Man and not with Peter is Felicia Hardy. The Raimi effect and this ridiculous larping needs to stop. Mary Jane is a strong and emotionally mature woman who is the ride or die of Peter. and Kirsten adaptation is just some original insecure character, acting like a child, who is just cosplaying Ultimate MJ visually(Ultimate MJ is fire too)and Peter was the more mature one who was giving her congidence and grounds her in the first movie, which is the opositive in the comics(Peter in the comics is better than Kirsten's MJ from mature POV).
