Another just fasterish/lazyish way is to make the darker one on one layer and do the lines and go to another layer and draw the lighter lines and go to opacity and put it to your liking! Idk if it’ll look the same or different!

wouldnt it be easier to make the lines a folder that is a clipping mask to the pants then take the darker color and copy it and put the copy above the lighter color and then make it 50% or set it to multiply and/or clipping mask

I usually just use the lightest as base and take darkest at like 60% and do lines both ways, it naturally makes squares where it overlaps
