I’m a hairdresser as well, and just from a colour theory perspective, I see it a little differently. I’m not sure which developer you used, but 9.03 is already a level 9 with gold as the tertiary reflect. By adding 0.33, you’re significantly increasing the gold concentration, making it much warmer than 9.3 alone in O&m colour chart. On freshly highlighted, porous hair, that extra gold can easily grab and create the carrot-like warmth seen in the lowlights. In my opinion, 9.3 on its own would have been enough instead of 9.03+0.34 to achieve a soft, natural warm lowlight.

lol not really the same, but the first time I ever done solid copper (7cc Socolor) my clients hair was quite literally purple while processing. I was so terrified I ran to the back to see what I mixed up. It was 7cc. Ran to get my instructor to find out that copper looked purple until rinsed😅
