And ah yes, because beauty (more specifically one mans beauty) determines whether or not someone should wear the hijab. So women who are unappealing shouldn’t wear it then by your logic? It was even stated that Yusuf dressed as modestly as a man possibly could (without exploiting his beauty). Either way, the hijab isn’t mainly to lower male gaze, its for you to not want to be seen. Its a command from Allah specifically for woman, and although there are somethings unable to be understood, there are times where it has helped women. Islam wasn’t fully revealed until Prophet Muhammad. Every prophet preached the same belief in one God, but the laws were different for each nation so you can’t compare Prophet Yusuf’s time to the rulings revealed later. When those women became obsessed with Yusuf’s beauty Allah protected him in a different way. Yusuf himself chose prison rather than falling into sin, and Allah protected him from their plot. So using his story to claim Islam is misogynistic is comparing two different shariahs.
