This happened to me once! At an apartment I was living at they sent out a notice it would happen on a certain date, but then that date came and went and nothing happened, and then they decided to do it on a random day a week later. Luckily I used to spend my mornings on my porch and you could see my stairs from it, so I noticed the they were gone before attempting to go anywhere.
