As someone who also competes in a niche competition scene (cosplay craftsmanship) this was such a lovely breakdown! I didn't look too much into the whole thing, but her making faces on stage during what I assume were the awards was crazy.

The way people in her comment section was bashing the winners looks and size made me so infuriated. Pinup has ALWAYS been inclusive to anyone who exists in it and the fact that she backed peoples comments made me disappointed. Pinup is a community where women stand for women, we don't bash each other and take each other down.

The girl who won that competition commented on it and explained that the rules/style of the competition were not clearly presented so most of the contestants and they didn’t realize it was the pin up girl look and thought it was a pageant for tatts.

I realized it was a pinup pageant but with her video she made it seem like it was based off having tattoos when in reality it was a pinup pageant at a tattoo convention nothing to do with tattoos and that caused so much confusion for everyone

BYE my comment is dragging me in that video!( Genuinely idc) BUT I said I’m glad she didn’t win because of that reaction. She knew it’s a pageant and it’s the BIGGEST pageant no no to make faces during crowning! You keep a smile , congratulate whoever won, then ONCE you get off stage you can be sad or annoyed about it. The video she posted made herself look very rude to the other girls and looked as if she thought she was the best and had it in the bag… I made my comment after seeing her liking comments about the other girls and how she should have won. Pageants are about community.
