The jewish people from north Africa and west Asia that ended up in israel were also very very discriminated against and were basically seen as animals too. They were the poorest, got the worst jobs, and also never got significant positions of power.

Israel is probably the worst thing to happen to Jewish people since the Holocaust.

This is a really poor way of presenting history. You start with the conclusion that “Israel caused the Jewish exodus” and then only include facts that support it while ignoring everything that doesn’t. Nobody seriously familiar with the history thinks nearly a million Jews left dozens of different countries for one reason. You completely skip the Farhud, anti-Jewish riots across the region, expulsions, confiscation of property, discriminatory laws, arrests, denaturalisation, and the rise of Arab nationalism after 1948. Those weren’t invented by Israel. You also keep pointing to examples of tolerance as if they disprove persecution. They don’t. Muhammad V protecting Moroccan Jews and Muslims sheltering Jews during WWII are real historical events. So are the episodes of anti-Jewish violence and legal discrimination. History isn’t one or the other. And stating the Baghdad bombings as though they’re an established fact is just dishonest. They’re still debated by historians. If you’re making a historical argument, you don’t get to present contested claims as settled because they fit your narrative. The irony is that you’re accusing other people of pushing a narrative while doing exactly that yourself.

The "Farhud" (1941): Before the official creation of Israel, escalating anti-Semitism led to a violent, Nazi-inspired riot and pogrom in Baghdad known as the Farhud. Hundreds of Jews were murdered and their businesses were looted, shattering the community's sense of security.

Maybe I’m misremembering this, but the Jews in Algeria was an interesting case. During the French colonization, because of the Jews proximity to Europeans compared to the Algerians, they were given an automatic French citizenship and were basically integrated into the ruling class in Algeria. Of course, when that was over, all pretty much fled to France and Israel.

1956 Suez Crisis: The largest forced exodus happened after the 1956 war between Egypt, Israel, Britain, and France. President Gamal Abdel Nasser ordered the expulsion of thousands of Jews. They were stripped of their citizenship, had their bank accounts confiscated, and were given just days to leave with one suitcase. They were forced to sign papers stating they were leaving "voluntarily" and giving their property to the state

The Jewish population of Yemen faced severe persecution and violence after the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. To save them, Israel launched a massive and secret rescue mission called Operation Magic Carpet (also known as Operation On Wings of Eagles).Between 1948 and 1950, British and American transport planes airlifted roughly 49,000 Yemenite Jews to the newly formed State of Israel.

Operation Ezra and Nehemiah: Between 1950 and 1952, over 120,000 Iraqi Jews—roughly 75% of the historic community—were airlifted out of the country, mostly to Israel. They left behind millennia of history and nearly all their possessions

1967 Six-Day War: After Egypt lost another war with Israel, hundreds of Jewish men were arrested and tortured. This caused almost all of the remaining Jews to escape.

My grandmother grew up with 2 Jewish friends who she would regularly visit them after school. and when my mother was a teenager they actually had a Jewish neighbour who's name was "elias", overtime the whole isreal thing started and he said to my family that he was being threatened by what he said "isreali mafia" to leave to isreal. ( I think they did that to strengthen their cause and excuse their colonialism by alienating arab Jews from their people. ) eventually they came home one day and found people swarmed infront of his house, and they found out he has been murdered. their story as Iraqis will never be documented because they would never be heard. neither will people care. but i hope someone reads this and remembers Elias, he was a human being deserving of dignity and he was murdered in cold blood for not supporting the colonisation of the Palestinians.

Persecution (1948): After the State of Israel was established in 1948, Iraq joined the war against it. The Iraqi government began to view Jews as traitors and scapegoats. Officials fired Jewish civil servants, criminalized Zionism, and hung prominent Jewish business leaders like Shafiq Ades to incite fear.
