Our neighbors had labradoodle puppies before they were popular. out 2 year old autistic son didnt like anything. we went over one evening and he was sitting with 1 of the puppies. the neighbors explained that pup had barked, bitten, and refused every person to adopt it. about 2 months later they still couldn't get him adopted and he was the only 1 left for along time. but everytime my son was outside the pup ran over and sat perfectly still with my son. they gave us the dog. His name is moose, he's 100lbs. our son is 10. they are inseparable.

My husband is a firefighter. When he’s on shift for 48 hrs Our black GSD will lay at the end of the hall all night between mine and the kids rooms. As soon as dad’s home she goes back to her bed in the living room. 🥹

My son's retired service dog patrols the house all night long keeping watch. Every hours or so, she does a lap through the house and comes into every room checking on people. When she's not patrolling, she is laying in front of the stairs which has a view of both our front and back doors. She finally moves to her bed at 7:30am when my alarm goes off 🥹

My mom had a GSD that only liked her - hated everyone else. When my sister and I were born, Mandy only like my mom… and us. She hated everyone else. lol
