You neglect to mention however that those seven minutes the plane is not on autopilot you have to be able to precisely control a massive machine to take off and land and if you misjudge any part of those processes you and hundreds of other people die, so it’s not exactly a low stress job lol

the absolute last thing you should do as a pilot is put your brain on autopilot, Pilots are still necessary all of the time. You seem to neglect that the autopilot doesn’t automatically listen to ATC instruction either
