Hot take, I don't think Daemon covered for Rhaena out of any love for his daughter, I think it was more to protect his own pride and how everyone- including Rhaenyra - finding out it was his daughter who helped unalive the crown prince would reflect on him

I feel like the problem is that the show has softened Rhaenyra so much and reworked everything around her to make it as if she's always the good person, soft, kind, merciful etc. So now the whole "fear of Rhaenyra" thing kinda falls flat.

Rhaenyra has shown nothing but mercy towards all her enemies, even to Hightower army. It’s unrealistic to expect Daemon or Rhaena to feel like she’d suddenly be unforgiving to her. He came up with 2 great solutions & i’m frustrated that he decided to listen to Rhaena instead of simply explaining everything to Rhaenyra.

Rhaenyra would've forgiven her, she forgave Allicent and basically had her memories wiped of Lucerys. Especially if she knew Rhaena hadn't done anything on purpose, she'd probably be happy for an extra dragon.

I don’t think it was about what Rhaenyra would do, but about what Daemon thinks she should. Everybody questions and underestimates her, i think that’s the tendency here. Nobody is truly loyal.

Making Rhaela Nettles is the problem. Bc in the book it wasn't Daemons daughter. We never realized who it was and Daemon rides off in the sunset with her suggesting they were having an affair. Just another change that ends up not making sense in the long run

I agree, I wish they would have explored the option of daemon telling ray. it would have been so nice to see how they fix the relationship between them all and move forward . where would sheepstealer stay ? will he be able to stay at dragon stone? would he go to kings landing ? I would have so many questions lol

I also felt devastated after the last episode when Rhaenyra wouldn’t legitimize Alyn and and Addam. She didn’t hesitate in the book, bc obviously Corlys had sacrificed so much and it was literally nothing for her to grant his wish. It just felt ick.
