Always congested and struggling to breath. This is how he sounded like most of the time when he was very little. Kingston started to get really congested at 3 weeks old. I had to suction his nose before every feed just to open his airway. The only way he would have a good sleep at night is if he’s laying on my chest. He sounds like he’s snoring even when he’s awake. This congestion would last for weeks even months until he ends up in a cough and fever. He will get better for a day then sick again the next day. Due to this and sleep deprivation, i have done so much google searches, joined multiple facebook groups and watched so many youtube videos to figure out what was going on. This is on top of twice a week visits to the GP and the hospital (my husband was already thinking i’m just paranoid). I have come across, CMPI and CMPA, which is cow’s milk allergy or intolerance, so I changed formulas probably 4 times and just ended up to the original one he was having. I changed his bottles at least 6 times coz he wasn’t taking his feeds well due to the congestion. (i swear i could be a product reviewer by now). I also read about laryngomalacia- which is floppy airway that can cause loud breathing in babies. I had to know what was going on and if something can be done to fix it coz Kingston was suffering and I was really exhausted at that point. Never in my wildest dreams that I even thought it was much worse than a simple illness. #kingstonisawarrior #JMML #JMMLawareness #NEGU #childhoodcancer
