📍 @Rascal Burrito, Cathays, Cardiff Rascal Burrito are known for their fire Latino street food and they now do breakfast! The breakfast dishes are from a range of Latin countries and showcase the flavours available to you. We went for: - Chilaquiles (Mexico) - Arepas con atun (Venezuela) - Chicken empanada and beef empanada (Venezuela) The chilaquiles was made up of salsa verde, 2 eggs, tortilla chips, cheese and sour cream. The arepas con atun was a grilled arepa with tuna mixed with onions, cilantro, lime and mayonnaise. Both dishes were delicious and had so much flavour. The chilaquiles was a sort of dish I’ve never tried before, but all of the components worked really well together. The tuna in the arepas con atun was some of the best tuna I’ve had in a long while, it was pretty flavourful and the crunch from the onions really cut through the tuna. The empanadas were pretty good. I am a big fan of empanadas but I just felt like there wasn’t enough filling in them and they were a little bit too greasy for me. Still enjoyed them. Washed everything down with some Jarritos - arguably my favourite drink. I love this concept that Rascal Burrito have come up with, it is so unique and definitely worth a try. They offer breakfast every Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 3pm! And if you haven’t been here and tried their burritos or their tacos or their quesadillas - you need to try these immediately. Some of the best Latino food you’ll ever try!
