The expected lower price of cement may not happen because according to Dangote, the high price is due to tax. He once said that out of every Naira realized on cement sale the FG takes 52 kobo.

Abdul, Huaxin Cement eventually paid $773.86 million for the 83.81% stake in Lafarge Africa, not the $1 billion. The price was reduced by $64 million in pre‑closing dividends paid to Holcim. The $773.86M represented 66% of Lafarge Africa’s $1.17B market cap at the time, not an ownership stake. No one owns “66%”; it’s called a valuation ratio. Actual ownership: Huaxin holds 83.81%, public shareholders hold 16.19%. There are no hidden or missing funds, the difference is fully accounted for by the dividend adjustment. And this has nothing to do with surrendering, I understand ur worried about the Chinese investments and u have said the quiet part out loud but trust me for the short term, it's worth it

I think clarity is key for acquisition and Moreover I think FG should also not sell off totally they should also have some percentage of the controlling with the new company.
