What do you mean? We started off as single-celled organisms and evolved into complex organisms. We are made up of many indevidual entities. Some require the brain to persist, some do not. Cells have always had the ability to organize themselves. If cells like this exist, its not a surprise. Ill have to look into this study though, sounds interesting.

We don’t know what the universe is all about any more than an ant sees us leaving for Walmart and knows what we are doing 🙃. However, science will prevail. The universe is chemistry, math and mystery. At least science is actively pursuing answers and not just taking a man’s word for what is going on because their church told them so

It could be the answer to why we always feel there is something more to out lives if in fact there is a program within those cells which from what you are saying seems to be the case. For instance you are not happy with your job or person or whatever it’s because your cells are telling you something g different and maybe also explains depression in the same vein. of course we're missing something deeper and you are just scratching the surface. Quantum entanglement,.consciousness existing and using the brain as a filter/receiver. Cells existing in different states at the same time. The observer effect. Manifestation, etc etc.
