There are various ways to ask this question, but let's start with this basic question. 😉 Please see below how this pattern is conjugated depending on the speech style. 👉 Polite speech style 👈 직업이 뭐예요? [ji·geo·bi mwo·ye·yo] What's your job? 저는 학생이에요. [jeo·neun hak·saeng·i·e·yo] I am a student. Noun ending with a consonant ➡️ Noun + 이에요 저는 가수예요. [jeo·neun ga·su·ye·yo] I am a student. Noun ending with a vowel ➡️ Noun + 예요 👉 Casual speech style 👈 직업이 뭐야? [ji·geo·bi mwo·ya] What's your job? 나는 선생님이야. [na·neun seon·saeng·ni·mi·ya] I am a student. Noun ending with a consonant ➡️ Noun + 이야 나는 가수야. [na·neun ga·su·ya] I am a student.
