Because it’s insinuating something isn’t it ? That u don’t trust them as a person or trust that they are qualified? U can request a female gyno and go on a waiting list if you want to if one isn’t available that day and that time when u demand one.

I don’t think there’s any good reason for men to become gynecologists. The “good ones” could do just as much good in countless other specialties. I’ve asked this question before and the answer I keep getting is that there’s still a lot of research to be done because women’s health has been neglected. But if that’s the argument, why didn’t research take off when gynecology was entirely dominated by men? Women’s health remained underfunded and understudied for decades despite men holding most of the positions of power in medicine.That argument has never made much sense to me.
