"에" is a particle that indicates a destination, like "to" in English. The particle "에" doesn't change depending on the preceding noun and "에" can be omitted in everyday conversations. "가다" is the verb for "to go". As you can see in this video, "가다" is conjugated as "가요" (polite) and "가" (casual) in the present tense. As you may know, there are two versions of "I" in Korean.
