lowk it's disrespectful to Call the people living in squatters (sub-5). They don't have any choice they have no land and living life paycheck by paycheck. Yall are even lucky to be living on a nice house in the province or live in a suburban neighborhood. It's hard to live as a poorly person. I disagree with the idea that these developments are simply “taking up space” for the poor. Building more housing doesn’t automatically make it accessible if the units are priced beyond what low-income families can realistically afford, then they aren’t solving the housing problem. The real issue isn’t just having more buildings. where would the poor go then? 😭
