स्पष्ट कानुनी प्रतिबन्धका बाबजुद पनि हाम्रा विद्यालयहरूमा शिक्षकहरूद्वारा विद्यार्थीहरूमाथि शारीरिक सजाय र मौखिक दुर्व्यवहारका घटनाहरू निरन्तर भइरहनु अत्यन्त चिन्ताको विषय हो। बालबालिका सम्बन्धी ऐन (२०१८) र नेपालको संविधान अन्तर्गत, प्रत्येक बालबालिकालाई सबै प्रकारका शारीरिक र मानसिक हिंसाबाट सुरक्षित हुने मौलिक अधिकार छ। अनुशासनात्मक उपकरणको रूपमा बल वा धम्की प्रयोग गर्नु पुरानो मात्र होइन, कडा कानुनी कारबाहीको वारेन्टी दिने फौजदारी अपराध पनि हो। शैक्षिक संस्थाहरूलाई जवाफदेही बनाउने र हाम्रा बालबालिकाको मर्यादा र कल्याणको रक्षा गर्ने सकारात्मक, अहिंसात्मक अनुशासन विधिहरूतर्फ सर्ने समय आएको छ।"

Beating students is not a solution to any problem. They should be taught properly with care, patience, and good guidance. Were today's teachers themselves taught by being beaten by their old teachers? Students should not be subjected to physical punishment. The government should pay attention to this issue and take appropriate action.

Teachers should have license for teaching jobs through behaviour assessment and teaching evaluation, taking out frustrations for kids being kids is insane… we grew up with trauma and still our young children are facing same… victims of education system have always been students
