@latlatqtpie: Wang Wang was only 1 year old, a baby herself. She was a stray that had nothing, but somehow she was still able to find joy, and love for humans. On June 28th, her 3 newborn puppies were stabbed to death in front of her, and she was burned alive + beaten for 30 mins by 4 teenagers. The entire torture lasted an hour. Some people are going to say that there’s nothing we can do because it happened in China. But you’re wrong. An act this heinous against a gentle, defenseless creature is an erosion of our collective humanity and a threat to every modern society. We CAN speak out and demand a change; push our governments to pressure China for animal protection laws. Don’t just turn away with the excuse that your voice is too small. We might be trivial, but like Wang Wang, we must fight till the end to protect the things we truly care about. Also, shame on all the international media and animal rights groups that obviously are already aware due to the hundreds of email pleads they received, but choose to stay silent. What’s the purpose of a platform if you’re not going to use it for justice and what’s right? I hope more individual content creators can speak out against the horrific incident.
