The food was warm and plentiful, the chatter was happy, and the clatter of dishes soothing. A dog sat at my grandmothers feet hoping for a taste of what we were enjoying. Day after day, serviceable and beautiful, dishes like Johnson Bros Old Britain Castles made an appearance at her charming table. I miss her. I love gathering at table and honor my grandmothers by sharing their love of dining with my family. I adore using beautiful dishes in the same way they did. I love the wonderful ironstone our Grandmothers served us warm meals at table. Serviceable and beautiful.
