People keep saying it is just a YSL basket. It is not about the basket. It is about priorities. Small actions reveal where your priorities are. If my husband won something he knew I would love, I would expect to be the first person he thought of. That is what marriage means to me. Home should always come before coworkers. It is not the value of the basket that hurts. It is realising someone else crossed his mind before his wife. The basket could have been worth £5 or £500, the feeling would be exactly the same. Marriage is built on making your spouse feel chosen. The little moments often say far more than the big gestures ever will.
