I also have a hard time asking and accepting help, after I had our 4th baby my mother in law told me, “you have to let other people help you. I used to struggle with asking or accepting help until someone wiser than I, lovingly said, “but sometimes it robs another person of the blessing of giving to you.” Heard that 40 yrs ago, never forgot it.

My family hauled Ranch Style Beans (they are made where I grew up). They are one of the only ways I’ll eat beans 😅. We always got to keep the refused cases, so we had them a lot.

I am the same way about asking for help. My husband passed away 15 years ago and I try to do the best I can. Usually end up paying someone to help me. I don’t want to bother anyone
