I want to say something about Sam Neil Today, we gather not only to remember an extraordinary actor, but to celebrate the incredible life of a man who inspired millions around the world. I was a dinosaur girl growing up because my dad let me watch this movie when I was five and I was OBSESSED with Dr. Grant. I wanted to be just like him. I spent hours at libraries reading paleontology encyclopedias just for fun, spent summers at natural history museums almost in tears at the sight of the fossils. That special interest followed me forever. This tattoo was one of the first ones I ever got. Jurassic Park has been such a special film to me my entire life, and I even had the privilege of seeing it re-released in theaters earlier this year. Aside from the impact of the character of Dr. Grant, Sam Neill was a truly kind person who had nothing but a positive impact on the world around him. This is so heartbreaking.

Sam Neill completely changed my life, back when I was 4 and saw Jurassic Park for the first time, I saw Alan Grant and went "woahh! hes so awesome! someday I want to grow up and dig up bones like him!" to this day whenever I watch Jurassic Park I think the same exact thing, almpst 12 years later. Sam Neill not only taught me to care for animals and past life, but also tk treasure everyone all the same. Rest in peace, my idol. "You are unique. There is only one you.
