📍 @Mughal E Azam This is a well overdue post from our visit to Mughal-e-Azam in Birmingham! We decided to go here as a family as we’d heard good things, and we had the Asian food critics with us - my mum and gran🤣 We went for: - Tandoori mixed platter - Samosa chaat - Papri chaat - Murgh palak (chicken saag) - Lamb karahi This food was absolutely fantastic, given that we know what good Pakistani food is like, it’s hard to please us all when we go out for a family meal but everyone was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed everything! The mixed platter was definitely worth the price - it came with so much food, definitely enough for 4/5 people! It had meat, chicken and fish and everything was delicious. The seekh kebabs were so good, these are a must whenever I visit restaurants like this. I’m not normally someone who likes the fish in mixed grills but this was really good, best I’ve ever tried!🤩 Both the chaats were great, I really enjoyed the papri chaat where normally I’m a samosa chaat kind of person! The curries were exceptional, they tasted like they would if they were made at home, and that’s what made this place so great. The food didn’t feel adapted in anyway, it tasted very authentic😍 We couldn’t pass up on dessert so we got a chocolate fudge cake, double chocolate chip cookie dough and a few portions of Kulfi, trying the both pistachio kulfi and the original as you got to pick from 2 flavours. Such an amazing selection of desserts and they were a great end to the meal, they were just as good as the food! This place was fantastic, one of the best Pakistani restaurants I’ve ever been to, just gutted it’s so far! I would definitely visit again. They do fusion food so they do have other things on the menu. But when they do the authentic Pakistani food so well, if you’re a fan, you have to give them a go. This place really surprised me, it was packed out and it was massive, so I felt like maybe it was more of a “hyped” place but I was proven wrong. If you find yourself around Stratford Road in Birmingham, you have to give this place a go - great quality food worth every penny! penny! #food #Foodie #foodies #fyp #FoodTok #FoodLover #pakistanifood #birminghamfood #birminghameats #foodreview #curry #desserts #review #foodblogger #foodblog
