Language is a compression of civilization's interaction with reality. An LLM trained only on language inherits the compression but not the underlying process that generated it. To continue advancing knowledge at the frontier, an AI likely needs its own sustained interaction with the physical world or equally rich simulations because that's where fundamentally new information comes from, there there is deep buttle neck.
