Maybe bc 8gb of vram is just genuinely unusable in a lot of games now at 1440p

i remember seeing someone buy the 5060 ti 16gb over the 5070 because it has more vram. people make way too big a deal out of vram nowadays

i had 3070 the games I played at the time were consistently crashing because of vram so I sold it and got rx 6800 sapphire nitro + for 270$
but I actually miss dlss and one or two features in NVIDIA software

zack just knows his viewers need future proof gpu
we saw RTX 3070 with the last of us and how it was horrible
that is just one example
so that's why he is going with a more future proof option

less vram is only bad when you run out lmao
I have a 6600xt (8gb) and sure, on some very specific cases like, if I try 4k (which my card isn't for anyways) it spills into ram and bottlenecks, or games with huge textures and maps which with ultra textures I'd have to drop, but raw performance is better than a 3060 with 12gb of vram anyways, both aren't doing 4k or anything that's heavy that takes more than 8gb of vram🤷

I know the game i played is either competitive title which i will play at lowest setting or 10 year old game, i don't really care about vram lol, 8gb is plenty for my use case. "ow what if u want to play new AAA title" then i just turn down the setting, i will never spent 100+ hour playing AAA game why would i buy gpu around assumptions that i will spent most of my time play AAA game

Nothing :
8gb vram is enough for most games at high settings (not ultra) and having dlss is a advantage. If me i would take the 3070 but what you choose is up to you

Huh?
Better software support?
Bruv
Since 2025 nvidia drivers are total rubbish
Also
Control Panel took them 20 years to upgrade
And another few problems with the new NVApp

what makes standart 12gb 5070 stronger than 16gb 5060ti while having lower vram? im sorry i dont understand any of this and i need more insight on this so my purchase is worth lol. bcus i wanted to upgrade to 5070 but some of my friends recommending me to get 5060ti, and yeah it is much cheaper here. but i do have the budget to get 5070 and new psu + ups bcus my place often having random blackout lol

VRAM don’t matter tbh. Most games if you’re playing 1080p or 1440p won’t even go as high as 10gb on high settings.

I chose the 2080ti as they're now going for the same price as 3070 or 6700xt. Next upgrade is probably going to be 6800xt or 6900xt because I want to try linux gaming with my secondary pc.
