If loving fall this early is wrong, I don’t want to be right 🤎🍂 Full recipe down below, you can also find it in the link in my bio! 🍪 Brown butter pumpkin cookies: - 1/2 cup unsalted butter - 1 cup brown sugar - 1 egg - 1/2 cup pumpkin puree - I tsp vanilla extract - 2 cups AP flour - 1 tbsp pumpkin spice - 1 tsp cinnamon - 1/2 tsp baking soda - 1/2 tsp baking powder - 1/2 tsp salt Streusel: - 1/2 cup AP flour - 1/2 cup brown sugar - 4 tbsp unsalted butter (softened) - Pinch of salt Maple glaze: - 1 cup confectioners sugar - 1 tbsp maple syrup - 3 tbsp heavy cream Instructions: ⁃ Add the butter to a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously for about 5 minutes, until the butter becomes foamy and turns golden brown. Transfer it to a small bowl and let it cool. ⁃ In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled brown butter, brown sugar, egg, pumpkin purée, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and well combined. ⁃ In a small bowl, combine the streusel ingredients. Use a fork or your fingertips to work the butter into the dry ingredients until a crumbly streusel forms. Set aside. ⁃ Add the flour, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix. ⁃ Using a large cookie scoop, divide the dough into 14 equal portions. Roll each portion into a smooth ball with your hands and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. ⁃ Use the back of a tablespoon to gently press a shallow indentation into the center of each cookie dough ball. ⁃ Fill each indentation with about 1 tablespoon of streusel. ⁃ Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes, or until the cookies are set around the edges. ⁃ While the cookies are baking, prepare the maple glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar, maple syrup, and heavy cream until smooth and thick. ⁃ Transfer the baked cookies to a wire rack and let them cool for 15–20 minutes. ⁃ Once cooled, drizzle the maple glaze over the cookies and enjoy! #pumpkinseason #fallvibes #fallaesthetic #autumn #fallbaking
