I like to marinate with the fruit alone and then i rinse it off and do an overnight soak with the rest of the ingredients. Dont forget to add some cooking oil to the marinade. Well thats what my mom always told me.

They don’t actually do this in the restaurants though right? Asking as someone with a kiwi allergy ( non anaphylactic but I don’t want to make it worse by unknowingly consuming it regularly )

Asian Pear 🍐 different enzyme same result not as aggressive. Kiwi can turn proteins mushy rather quickly.
