It's absolutely ridiculous regarding the monthly tax. You are correct they don't have a clue as they are all PAYE. this is now similar to paying in advance mid year self assessment payment and no doubt they will demand that on the monthly payment too so essentially will have to pay 1.5 months tax each month to get a cash injection

Totally agree . It feels like they are purposely making things difficult for small businesses. Also now my subcontractors have to do an extra 4 returns a year at their expense. An absolute disgrace.
