I think the reason why Billy (or any of the other parents in the know) didn’t tell their children was because they weren’t sure if the kids would actually be able to keep it a secret. Teens can be impulsive, they probably didn’t want to risk any of them potentially seeking out the Cullens just to try and kickstart the transformation.

Siobhan is an okay parent to Maggie, her adoptive vampire daughter. Maggie can mentally/physically sense when someone is lying and she feels very comfortable with Siobhan and her partner because they don’t lie to each other and her.

I never understood why the wolf parents wouldn’t have told their kids they’re probably going to become a wolf, also don’t understand why Embry wasn’t allowed to tell his mum he was a wolf, seems stupid why does it need to be a secret from your family
