@the16th_doctor: the city of Lubbock, TX held a public comment session where residents came to give testimony or ask questions regarding datacenters coming to Lubbock. this meeting consisted of 3 hours of people expressing concern and displeasure with the idea of large scale datacenters coming to our city, with only a few people using incorrect "statistics" to try and support datacenters. it was so nice to see the community show up for this, and it was amazing that Clayton Tucker, who is running for AG commissioner of Texas came out and spoke. Kyle Rable also came out, so PLEASE vote for them if they are on your ballots. because of what the city showed regarding who has jurisdiction over land in Texas, the ONLY way to stop datacenters from being built and destroying our state is to vote out "big business conservatives" like Abbott and Paxton, and vote in people like Gina Hinijosa and James Talarico. (just an FYI, not a SINGLE conservative politician showed up to speak against the dangers of large scale datacenters.)
