@seaturtleconservancy: This week, our team is at the STC Biological Field Station in Tortuguero, Costa Rica! We are satellite-tagging three green turtles who will join the 2026 Tour de Turtles race. First up is FIN DIESEL! Will she swim Fast and Furious? Ask any racer, any real racer. It doesn’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning’s winning! She was named by her sponsor, Gimme Seaweed and is swimming to raise awareness for the threat of egg harvest for consumption. In the past, STC has recorded as high as 70% of all nests taken on beaches that we monitor in Central America.
