My ex used to do this “you were feeling this” and I’d have to tell him “no i wasn’t feeling that it was this” and he would maintain that “it was that” even though I said it wasn’t and then he would build an argument around what I said I wasn’t doing or feeling. It was crazy making for sure. So when you said your husband was telling you that you were mad when you know you weren’t….yep he is an abuser.

for any future relationship i would recommend never allowing a man to get away with calling a bitch in any context whatsoever because it shows them that you will tolerate disrespect. by not allowing it, you are quickly weeding out any men that would be willing to disrespect you in the first place. for any truly good man, that boundary will not be an issue. my boyfriend of 4 years called me that once at the beginning of our relationship as a joke and i shut it down immediately. he has never said to me since then. a man who truly loves you and cares about you will respect you in all circumstances
