This 💯 !! Yet- every therapist, every elder, every other person has told me that this is a maladaptive behavior?? As if I’m causing my-self anxiety for no reason? No, it’s pattern recognition, it’s learning from experience. And when my experiences have been negative and full of rejection…what am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to react? What am I supposed to trust—my intuition or my maladaptive behaviors? Are they even different?

it still sucks. it sucks because I kind of gaslight myself because I can admit I was wrong before.. and it did hurt people but at the same time.. it hasn't been wrong of lately. im not quite sure what to do..? when in reality i do know but I still try to be wrong because well I want them in my life. but.. im learning i deserve better and people who love you, support you and care for you would not do anything to hurt you, words that don't follow actions is telling ❤️🩹

I was rereading messages from months ago. It was evident that boundaries were crossed repeatedly in each instance, even though I had pretty much let them know. I was determined not to tolerate it, but unfortunately, I continued to do so. My primary focus now is to stop giving people chances and instead, listen to my intuition.
