I once worked as a teller in a bank and we had regular theme days. So one day it was ‘Punk Rock’ themed. When we opened that morning the very first customer walked in and he was a Punk Rocker. Not sure who got the biggest shock/surprise, him or us. He stopped dead and just stared at us and then everyone burst out laughing. We had to explain we didn’t normally all look like that, but he said he was thrilled to see the effort we’d all put in. We ended up getting photos taken with him and he had some to show his friends, while we had them for our Monthly Newsletter 🤣 As for this post, if I owned the Salon I’d see employing her as benefiting my Salon, because I’d hope that her aesthetic would encourage a new style of clientele for the Salon. I think the more diverse the staff members, the wider the range of clients who want to have their hair done there. Win/Win in my opinion 🤗

The only job I didn’t “get” was a job that told me I had the offer, however I would not be allowed to have vivid hair colors. I love my color. I will never change my hair for a job.

I will NEVER change the color of my hair for any job . Hair color doesn’t define you as a worker. My opening page on my resume tells employers I value my individuality. It makes them ask what I mean . Then I get to explain . 😂

Know your worth! I’m a lead infant teacher and i was at an interview and they were wanting to pay me $3 less than what i am making now. I told them “i can’t go that low, but i appreciate your time.” And they acted like i should be happy to be making that low of a wage.
