She did everything to get fukin help!!! She kept calling crisis lines, going to the ER, going to different hospitals to get help and every fukin doctor just gave her meds and sent her on her way, and when she begged to be hospitalized they just said she is over medicated!!!! She needs to be in an institution and not a fukin jail cell

As a licensed therapist, I am LEGALLY REQUIRED to hospitalize and/or notify family members when a client is reporting homicidal thinking (even in the context of post partum psychosis). If I create negligence and the client follows through on their thoughts, I AM held legally responsible. Why tf are the doctors not being held liable or going to trial for this?????

It honestly doesn’t matter - she needs to be locked away no matter what. It’s not fair that we put so much emphasis on her case when there’s many other people that committed their crimes due to their mental illness so where do we draw the line? Where does accountability start?

This is not a normal psychopath going on a rampage. This is a medical professional, who knew something was wrong and cried out for help and was not properly diagnosed. Asking for help before committing a crime definitely needs to be judged differently.

It has not been established with evidence that Lindsey was ever psychotic with a documented history by Psychiatrists who then documented the type of psychosis she had prior to murdering her kids and the meds she was on and her hospitalizations. Very big hill to climb if their only claim was this was the only time she heard voices is when she murdered all her kids. Example: Andrea Yates who murdered all her kids had a well documented history of Schizophrenia which got worse and worse with each childbirth because Andrea went off her antipsychotic meds when she was pregnant. It was not used as something she only experienced the day she murdered all her kids.

The professionals failed her. I hope they don't continue to fail her. I can not imagine begging for help and this happening.When she comes out of it, she'll never be able to forgive herself. This story is devastating. I hope the husband and she both sues every one of the professionals who failed her. I am in no way excusing her actions, there's no excuses but there are reasons.

Let’s slap a label on everything and nobody would ever be responsible. However, if crimes had harsher punishment especially ones of this nature my God how we’d see a decrease in them happening.
