We're simply getting some money back for the credit card fees that are built into everything we buy. We're all paying those fees so whether you use a credit card or debit card, guess what, you're paying the fees. Might as well reap some benefit. 🤷

I agree with you about collecting points, but he’s not a financial advisor. Unfortunately, too many people abuse credit cards to fund a luxury lifestyle. He’s probably more of an expert in managing debt repayments than giving financial advice.

I'm new to the credit card game. I'm not one who can spend heavily and accumulate points rapidly but I see the value in them and I look forward to being able to spend my miles on a better seat than what I would normally be able to afford. It'll take time but I know that it's not a waste. Admittedly, not all cards are suitable and I'm noticing that the Capital One Venture X is probably going to be my go-to for this stuff and Amex Gold may not last as long as I thought, but it's a learning curve. 😊

Dave Ramsey gives great advice for a particular population of people. He’s great for people with very little financial literacy and self control. What’s so annoying about him is that he refuses to acknowledge this and wants to pretend his advice is the best advice for everyone.

I think using miles from credit cards is the best thing ever till it dies at some point . You are spending anyways at least make something out of it . This requires discipline for sure .Just pay what you spend that easy and rest will come .
