📍 @Rasoi Wales, Swansea Waterfront Rasoi is, without question, one of my all-time favourite restaurants. It’s the kind of place that’s so consistently good that when I’m meeting friends, it instantly becomes the obvious choice. We went for: • Tandoori Platter - achari chicken tikka, seekh kebab, paneer tikka • Desi Lamb • Chicken Karahi I always start with something from the grill, and Rasoi’s tandoori platter never disappoints. Seekh kebab is my favourite and this one is spiced perfectly. The chicken tikka and paneer are equally fantastic, coated in a masala that’s so flavourful, with a nice little char on them. This platter is the ideal way to kick off a meal here. Now, the curries, I don’t switch things up at all with my choices which says a lot! The desi lamb is easily one of my favourite curries of all time. The masala is thick and rich, just how I like it, and the lamb is incredibly tender - yum! The chicken karahi is another solid option - the flavours are bold yet not overbearing. It is so tasty, especially piled high next to the desi lamb with a little mint sauce to accompany them. Heaven! Normally I round things off with a gulab jamun and ice cream, but I was too full to have dessert (for once!). Though if you have room, their desserts are absolutely worth it. A lot of restaurants treat dessert like an afterthought; Rasoi genuinely does them well. I rarely stray from my usuals here, but that’s because Rasoi gets these dishes so right that I don’t feel the need to experiment. I’ve brought countless friends along, and every single one has left just as impressed as the last. The prices are a touch on the higher side, especially considering the portion sizes, but the quality makes it feel worth it.
