@jessicajordan44: I was more impressed with the taste than the looks but hey, I’m calling this a win for my first time! 👏🏻 #cakepops #cake #baking #caketok #tryingnewthings
Hi I own a cake pop business.
I use the steam method, mold straight out of the mixer.
press your dough into the mold alot. then add the stick all the way to the top then press hard again. do not refrigerate or freeze just let it come to room temp before dipping. when you pull them out of the mold check the back of every single one if you can see the stick it will fall off.

Your first attempt looked just like mine! It gets easier the more you do it! After you put the stick in press a little harder on the dough while it's in the mold where the stick goes in, keeps the stick in place 😊

Did you dip the end of sticks in chocolate first before sticking it and letting it set for a min

you don't need the frosting if you blend it while hot

Don’t use oil in the cake mix…use Greek yogurt or sour cream instead. It won’t slide off the stick and will make the cake pops more moist.

Next time, dip the stick in in a little bit of the melted chocolate before sticking it in the cake pop! I also recommend actual treat sticks from the baking isle. I feel like they’re more sturdy than popsicle sticks :)

Try the steam method next time. Also, overfill molds and press them super firm into mold and scrape off excess. Looks good.

We mix it while hot. Then we don’t have to add frosting or anything!

Next time dip your stick into the chocolate before you stick it into the cake pop. The chocolate on the stick as the glue so it doesn’t fall apart.

Karen moment (I hate when people do this, but here I am 🤣) You need to calibrate your mixer. Search YouTube for the “dime test“ and it will show you a really easy video on how to calibrate the mixer to stop the shaking. You’re going to wear down the paddle attachment and put extra stress on the motor.

I'm an at home baker, the colder the cake pop the better it is when dipping them. those look good for your first time

I use sour cream instead of oil, use the steam method, no frosting, no freezer. Let the dough cool after mixing. Everything else you did great at! Also when using almond bark make sure you use oil based food coloring, or it will separate and sees
