A good lesson I'd like to tell people is keep your boot drive a low 500gb SSD and don't save things to it. get another internal drive for all your files and games.

The problem is really people not understanding that they DONT need the latest hardware. Most of us never do. You also DONT need to go straight to AM5, the 7800X3D is still AM4 with cracked speeds in the current day—this means you could still go for a GPU upgrade (7600XT) for around 300-600 bucks and you’ve got a 1440p gaming experience. You could probably get a 4070 for the ray tracing but the lower VRAM makes it less ideal for “future proofing”. PC building—Gaming experience is very straight forward.

I personally bought from Xidax And I'm pretty happy with my pre-built. although I believe mine was actually on sale when I bought it so I got it at a discount but still very happy with my purchase.

and this is why console gaming will never replace PC gaming. the average consumer isn't going to deal with this. and I'm saying this as a PC and console gamer

You don’t NEED a new cpu to use a NEW gpu. Thats where your misstepping, you upgrade one then save up to where u can upgrade the cpu mobo and ram if needed. Then save up for a bigger psu wattage and or cooler for that cpu.

there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with using a hard drive instead of SSD.

PC upgrading has 1 of 3 routes.
1: buying a new one every few years when needed.
2: be the guy in this video and not realize how many parts you have to upgrade to just upgrade one thing.
3: upgrade continuously over the years in small jumps to make sure you aren't having to buy all of these parts all at once and can do so over time.
All of these options cost a lot of money.

"all these new parts are gonna need more power" that's a half true. Not always, newer components are also more efficient, so you don't default to "newer=more paper draw"

this is only a problem if you look at hardware upgrades as being completely on top of things, rather then just making a meaningful upgrade that's personally gonna improve the way your favorite games run. bottlenecks aren't nearly as big as a problem as you make them out to be.
