My best friend’s daughter was found within 12 hours after she was dumped after she was murdered. The killer put her ID next to her on the ground, so it was obvious it was her. But even though detectives immediately went to her parents, at the Dutch forensic institute they still identified her through dental records.

What about the girl in Kentucky, Marley Kinney. It was several days before she was found in the water. Maybe that information just wasn’t made public but there was no information regarding dental records to identify her. Both in were in bodies of water and that’s why I’m asking. Marley was found in a fresh water lake and I’m assuming Mississippi is salt water. Also, the DMV takes fingerprints. I think it’s voluntary maybe it varies from state to state, I know I gave my fingerprints at the DMV.

Is it possible that a body sinks after drowning before filling with gases and rising back to the surface? If was at the bottom could crabs or other sea life got ahold of the body while it was submerged in the water?

I was watching a documentary is it true when when there is skin slippage or in the water the csi or medical examiner has to wear the skin over a glove to get fingerprints?
