@cathypedrayes: The bob trend but make it privacy 🙃 Here’s what’s new: New Jersey banned companies from selling sensitive personal data like precise location, health, financial, biometric and children’s information. Connecticut passed a law creating a one-stop deletion system, so residents will eventually be able to request that all registered data brokers delete their information at once. The portal is due by July 2028. (This was inspired by the CA website I shared earlier) And Michigan’s House passed a surveillance-pricing ban that would stop companies from using personal data to charge you a different price. It still needs Senate approval and the governor’s signature. Lots of new info in just a few days AND NYC is doing the click-to-cancel rule! #DataPrivacy #news #DataBrokers #SurveillancePricing #onlinesafety
