Ford-class supercarriers, the modernized air wing relies on a diverse mix of multi-role aircraft from U.S. Navy Air Wings. The strike backbone consists of the single-seat F/A-18E and two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornet, alongside the 5th-generation F-35C Lightning II, which integrates stealth and advanced sensors into fleet operations. Electronic attack and radar jamming support are provided by the EA-18G Growler, while airborne early warning and battle management are coordinated by the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye.Logistics and airborne resupply are managed by the CMV-22B Osprey, replacing legacy cargo aircraft to transport personnel and heavy engines directly to the flight deck.
