the ending where it shows supergirl as “the cure” because national city sees supergirl as the cure to their struggles and problems, but kara zor-el sees herself as a curse who can’t fix anything and only ever makes them worse, and kara danvers sees herself as a fraud who cannot truly find a home beyond the stars; she’ll always harbor some jealousy towards regular people and wish she was in their shoes because all she ever wanted was to be normal, but she can’t and she will never be because all shes known was taken from her

I think that the emotional writing in season 1 was at its best, so much stuff hits hardest in first season, even if the plot writing wasn’t as good as later seasons.
