@overgenpoverty: just so people know, I’m not arguing with anyone in the comments 🙃 especially people who have never experienced racial profiling or the fear that comes with it 🤷🏽‍♀️ part of my journey to overcoming generational poverty (and building wealth) has meant overcoming doubt, imposter syndrome, racism, being underestimated, and having to work harder because of the circumstances I grew up in so it hurts to see our gente trying to do everything “right” and still be treated inhumanely 💔 if you’d like to support immigrant communities, here are organizations I’ve donated to over the years: • RAICES • Freedom for Immigrants Commissary Fund (direct aid to people in detention) • Immigrant Defense Project • National Immigrant Justice Center • ACLU (they’ve challenged many immigration policies in court) • Legal Aid Society (I used to work there, and when I was younger they helped my family with a legal case for free) • Directly to families through GoFundMe.
