@wildliferehab_kl: I am a multi species NYS DEC licensed wildlife rehabilitator from Long Island, New York. All of my work is volunteer and out of pocket for me. Please consider subscribing to help me help the animals in my care. Thank you! #LIWRR #FlyingSquirrels #SquirrelTok #chaos #WheelOfConsequence These are animals I rescued from an HVAC system in an old house. They are teenage southern flying squirrels who were too young to release so they are overwintering with me until spring time. The wheel is provided for them for enrichment and exercise, and they use it in this manner nightly. This activity is safe and they do it by choice because they enjoy it. Their vestibular system is very different from ours and they do not get dizzy or nauseous the same way we would. The narrative is simply my twisted sense of humor, adding a fictitious backstory where none exists, for the sole purpose of amusing myself (and hopefully you too) while I am caring for many orphaned animals throughout a long, cold winter. This is nothing more than that.

I think it is safe to say that flying squirrels can survive the centrifugal force required to go into space without dying
