Heres the question...why dont they set these manufacturing hubs to countries with more favorable economy and cheap electricity? why philippines of all places with cheap labor? why not india? why not malaysia? why select the country with the most expensive per-kilowatt electricity in the entire southeast asia for something that consumes huge amount of electricity? weird right?

as a electronics engineer, it's a good move providing more jobs to ECE's here since lahat or halos lahat nang ECE's dito are only sa smart or pldt or bldg codes nag tatrabaho it's nice to have more semicon companies here to provide competition since d gaano kalaki Yung semicon dito, and semicon is one of the good paying industry aside from the aforementioned.
